The .5-inch diameter Sta-Set ropes is very strong, boasting a tensile strength of approximately 10,000 pounds. This rope, available in bulk as a 600 foot item, is polyester double braid. New England Ropes Sta-Set ropes excel in outdoor applications, as there is very little degradation from sunlight. Additionally, polyester has good resistance to most chemicals and melting occurs at 480 degrees. If you need rope for control lines, jibsheets or mainsheets, this is the product for you.
